Do seamless steel pipes need to be painted? Under normal circumstances, the seamless steel pipe has an oxide film on the surface after pickling, and the surface is smooth after pickling. Even if the stainless steel pipe is painted, it will quickly fall off.

Stainless steel is originally an alloy steel with good corrosion resistance, and the purpose of surface coating is nothing more than corrosion resistance. Therefore, painting stainless steel pipe is a waste. The role of paint is to prevent corrosion, stainless steel is corrosion-resistant, so do not paint. 1. The function of paint is anti-corrosion. Seamless steel pipes are corrosion-resistant, so don’t paint. Painting is redundant supply and demand. 2. 304 stainless steel thick-walled pipe does not meet the basic consensus, and the coating may be confused with the carbon steel pipe, causing unnecessary trouble during the construction process.

3. Stainless steel itself has strong corrosion resistance. The paint is mainly painted, but it can also be painted under special conditions, such as in the marine environment. In addition, many foreign companies need to coat thick-walled stainless steel pipes. Therefore, this is not a special requirement of the customer. Under normal circumstances, stainless steel pipes do not need to be painted, and paint will only increase costs and waste energy, and the effect is not obvious.

Tips: ASTM A53 ERW pipe is a typical carbon steel pipe. It is largely used to convey fluids at low / medium pressures such as oil, gas, steam, water, air and also for mechanical applications.
